The monumental ensemble "Gloria" is located in the city of Blaj, Alba county, on the famous Plain of Liberty, where the historic national assembly was held on 3/15 May 1848. The ensemble was made by sculptor Ion Vlasiu (1908-1997).

The monumental ensemble was inaugurated in 1977, when the centenary of the state independence of Romania was celebrated and 129 years since the revolution of 1848. There are several distinct compositional elements that make up this monument: the first element is a stone monument, 18 meters high, representing the "gate of history". He writes: "On May 15, 1848, on the Freedom Plain, the representatives of the Romanian people spoke out loudly about the burning desire to achieve the national unity of the Romanian national state, the golden dream of centuries of suffering and fighting through the historical words:" We want to have us The second element is composed of the statues of three young girls, cast in bronze and placed in front of the "gate of history". These three statues represent the three great Romanian historical provinces: Moldova, Transilvania and Vallachia

Another element that comes to complete the monumental ensemble is the series of busts of the most prominent revolutionary fighters from 1848: Nicolae Balcescu, Avram Iancu, Alexandru Ioan Cuza, Mihail Kogălniceanu, Simion Bărnuţiu, Vasile Alecsandri, George Bariţiu, Eftimie Murgu, , CA Rosetti, Andrei Mureşanu, Al. G. Golescu-Negru, Gheorghe Magheru, Ion Heliade Rădulescu, Costache Negri, Cezar Bolliac, Stefan Ludwig Roth, Ion Ionescu from Brad and others. In total there are 24 busts, lined by an alley that starts from the "gate of history".
